Houseplants have some wonderful health benefits such as improving mental health. Research has found that people who live around nature feel happier than those who don’t. Studies have found that you don’t have to be in the country, but just looking at the greenery in the home will help. Houseplants help boost your immune system as well. Plants help you relax and when you are relaxed you will sleep more soundly. Sleeping helps the immune system stay strong plus plants contain phytoncides which help to reduce the amount of stress you feel throughout the day which helps keep your immune system strong and happy. Plus, these plants can help with your learning abilities. Research has found that houseplants can improve productivity, which is part of improving your learning abilities. Studies have found that plants in the home boost focus and mental clarity which makes it much easier to focus on tasks at hand.
- Some results from the survey found that 3 in 10 Americans admitted they are bad at keeping plants alive and another 13% were not sure. 57% said they are at least “somewhat” capable.
