Does Cancer Have to Be Treated Just One Way?

Cancer. This word strikes sheer fear into people’s hearts, and for many Americans, it’s their number one health worry. While we certainly have come a long way in the medical battle to treat cancer, there is still a long way to go.  And there are experts who believe in more than one method of cancer treatment, who are offering viable solutions with success stories to back them up!

Chris Wark on Colon Cancer

Chris Wark was the youngest person his doctor had ever diagnosed with colon cancer.  He found out right after his colonoscopy, as he was waking up from the anesthesia.  Still not fully conscious, it felt like a dream when he was told he had a tumor. He was just 26 years old when diagnosed with stage III colon cancer. Of all the wide variants, colon cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer seen today. It is a malignancy beginning in the colon or large intestine, often thought to develop due to the poor quality of food that passes through.

While anyone can contract colon cancer, developing it at the age of 26 like Wark was once seen as highly unusual.  However, more and more people in their twenties and thirties are dying from it than ever before.

Chris decided to have a colonoscopy because of abdominal pain he’d been suffering with for about six to nine months. “ this kind of weird pain that I thought would go away, and it didn’t. It just got a little worse and worse over time, and so, eventually, it was like, ‘Well, you’re 26. We can do a colonoscopy. Maybe we’ll find something.’ They found the tumor.”

The idea of poisoning his way back to health with chemotherapy didn’t seem like the best idea to Chris. According to him, “Now, for some people, maybe , but to me, at that time, I just couldn’t imagine myself as a chemo patient. I felt I had this really deep fear and instinctive gut sort of feeling that it was not going to go well for me if I did chemotherapy, but I didn’t know what else to do. My wife and I prayed about it.”

And their prayer was answered.  Chris learned of a man who healed his own colon cancer by radically changing his diet. Since the food you eat goes directly through your large intestine, it only made sense to Chris to be particular with what foods he put in his body.  Despite many close friends and experts thinking he was making the wrong decision, Chris chose the route of nutrition and natural therapies.   Watch the episode to hear how he healed himself.

Antonio Jimenez on Alternative Treatments

Originally trained in conventional medicine, Dr. Antonio Jimenez has a great deal of professional experience in the standard ways of healing the body.  But he has since developed a more holistic approach.  Dr. Jimenez worked in a hospital with a wing that specialized in alternative treatments. Jimenez says, “As a young physician, I started to observe what was happening with the conventional treatment patients and the alternative way, and I saw that, although these patients were in advanced cancer, they were feeling better, they were having better appetite, they were surviving longer than the patients that had strictly conventional medicine, and so that was the beginning.”

Dr. Jimenez experienced heartache and fear when his beloved father was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer. He saw firsthand the standard conventional treatments fail his father, so he sought a different route for his dad.  He discovered that not only were there other methods available for treating illnesses, namely cancer but that alternative methods were also often far more effective! So while many people believe that chemotherapy is the only option cancer patients have, Dr. Jimenez emphasizes effective and natural cancer treatments, wholly supporting their place in medical practices.  Watch this episode to hear how Dr. Jimenez helped his father, how he healed a young girl’s leukemia and his seven principles of cancer therapy.

Dr Veronique Dessaulniers on Emotional Healing

Dr. Veronique Dessaulniers, or Dr. V, is a bioenergetic chiropractor who is passionate about emotional healing. And she is also a breast cancer survivor. When she was first diagnosed with cancer she felt angry, guilty, ashamed and devastated. She fully believed she was doing everything right.  She was eating a healthy diet, exercised and under chiropractic care.  But something was missing. To heal herself, she did everything outside of modern medicine, including juicing, botanicals, homeopathy, and so on. She didn’t get surgery or used any traditional treatment but instead used a type of salve that’s been used for hundreds of years that helped her body to expel the early stage tumor.

As she was digging deep to find the root cause of her cancer, Dr. V discovered some deep-rooted emotional issues, “that I kept stuffing and never really dealt with over the years.” From the science of psychoneuroimmunology, we know that emotional trauma can lead to disease. And Dr. V links her cancer to the abuse she suffered as a child.  She emphasizes the importance of healing emotional wounds.  Join Dr. V and I as she shares how she healed herself, why she created her Seven Essential Steps to Beating Breast Cancer, and the one thing she feels is critical when it comes to prevention, healing and reversing cancer.

George Howard on a Multidisciplinary Care

Dr. George Howard is a medical oncologist, a cancer specialist who oversees and helps patients with cancer. He works for later stage cancer patients. Many of whom are afraid of the word chemotherapy. He explains that chemotherapy can be biologic therapy, targeted therapy, antibody therapy. He wants to give medication that can improve one’s quality of life in the long-run. Dr. Howard believes in a multidisciplinary approach where medical doctors can work with naturopathic and integrative practitioners. Nutrition can be a powerful addition to treatment. The American Cancer Society recommends a plant-based diet for cancer patients. Dr. Howard explains how weighing potentials risks and benefits is important, however, chemo or radiation can improve one’s chances or recovery.

My personal intention for this episode is to provide you with hope when cancer strikes….and to share new ideas and methodologies

We might think that chemotherapy is the only option available to help cancer patients obtain healing.  And while this in no way is meant to discourage one from taking their doctor’s professional suggestions and undergoing their specific treatment plan, there are other potential solutions for people who don’t seem to have much hope with traditional medicine.  Solutions that are starting to become common knowledge and that research is starting to support.
