It can be very traumatic for pregnant women to suddenly experience a miscarriage.   The tragedy is often private, an event largely grieved by the mother.  It’s vital for them to recognize the miscarriage was out of their control and not their fault.  A miscarriage is a loss of a pregnancy under 20 weeks and 80 % happen in the first 12 weeks.   Although anywhere from 25% to 75% of pregnancies end in a miscarriage, the conversation about miscarriage is almost taboo.  On this episode, Dr. Nandi interviews a woman who experienced 5 miscarriage and shares the painful impact they had on her.  He also enlists a team of doctors to discuss miscarriage from conception to grief.
