Cayenne Pepper Sauce
Cayenne Pepper Sauce
- 8 oz. fresh cayenne peppers (stems removed)
- 6-7 fresh jalapenos (stems removed)
- 3 hot cherry peppers
- 8 cloves garlic (peeled, hard tips cut off)
- 2 tsp salt
- 4 cups white vinegar
- In a medium pot over medium-high heat, add the vinegar, peppers, garlic, and salt.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- Allow to cool and then pour mixture into a blender.
- Set pot aside.
- Blend until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
- Strain through a mesh strainer.
- Pour back into pot.
- Bring mixture back to fast boil over high heat.
- When mixture reaches a boil, turn off heat and allow to cool.
- Pour into airtight container.
